Welcome to the home page of the IAAC. Thank you for visiting the IAAC web site. The Illiana Antique Automobile Club is a multi-marque car club established in 1963 and headquartered in Danville, Illinois. The club currently has 80+ members from the central Illinois and Indiana area. As the name implies, the empasis of the club is on stock antique and special interest automobiles. To the right is a flyer listing our three shows for the 2008 show season. Scroll down for more details on these shows. This site consists of several pages that can be accessed by clicking on the link under the feature car of the month below. Enjoy the ride. Officers for 2008
IAAC sponsored Show Schedule for 2008 IAAC Village Mall Display - May 16,17, and 18 2008 proved once more to be a great opportunity for the IAAC to interact with the community. Nearly 30 cars and trucks were displayed for three days with many interested shoppers who asked many questions of the owners and club members on hand. It was an enjoyable time for everyone. To see pictures from the Mall event, click on the link to the right and go to our "Previous Events Page". Art on Wheels - The June 21, 2008 show proved to be a resounding success, even though the weather looked scary in the morning. A total of 85 vehicles were on display ranging from a Farmall tractor to a Masseratti! Cars ranged in age from 1914 to a near new Roush Mustang. There was something for everyone and the crowd enjoyed seeing a wide variety of vehicles. If you would like to see pictures from the event, click on the link to the right and go to our "Previous Events Page". 46th Annual Vermilion River Car Show and Swap Meet - The September 20, 2008 show at Ellsworth Park was a great success. Held in conjuction with Danville's Vermilion River Festival, it brought many visitors to look at the displayed vehicles how might not otherwise visit a car show. Over 75 cars were shown and the weather cooperated too. The IAAC meets the second Thursday of every month at the Catlin Community Center at 7PM. Meetings last an hour or so and include regular business items as well as reports on recent and upcoming shows, events, tours, and sometimes a show-and-tell hard luck story. Refreshments are served after the meeting is adjourned. If your are interested in attending a meeting or joining our club, contact us by clicking on the e-mail link below. We would be happy to have you. |
